Paying it Forward… While the turnout was heartwarming at CAFÉ 186 located in the Olympia Elks Lodge #186 for this year’s Easter Day Brunch yesterday, more food than needed was prepped for service.

In the spirit of giving to those in need in our community, CAFÉ 186 Operator and Chef Steve Sleasman decided to share that bounty with homeless members of our community on Monday evening. He prepared and packaged two-dozen to-go boxes of meatloaf, fried clams and scalloped potatoes entrees, along with another three dozen bowls of hot hearty soup and specialty grilled sandwiches. He and his daughter then distributed them to hungry folks in the area.
